Maple City Band  

Today the Maple City Band is made up of High School and College students, Working Adults and Seniors in roughly equal percentages.  Our members are attorneys, engineers, factory workers, teachers, waitresses, "soccer moms" and retirees.  Between 120 and 150 people participate during each concert season with typical practice and concert presence ranging between 60 and 90 chairs.  All skill levels are welcome to participate with current members abilities varying between professional musician and "haven't touched it for 25 years".  All are welcome and no audition is required to play with the band!

Maple City German Band

The Maple City German Band is a sub-set of the Maple City Band.  Normally performing with 8 to 10 players, the group plays traditional arrangements of polkas, waltzes, marches and schotisches.  Instrumentation includes: Clarinets, Euphoniums, Trombone, Trumpets, Tuba and Drum-set.  It occasionally plays at community events through-out the greater Quad Cities and at one of the Geneseo Summer Concert Series Ice Cream Socials.  Contact Arnold Taube for more information..
